For those moments when a picture really does contain a thousand
words, the Shadow Puppet iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad app shares your
photos and the stories contained in them. The simple, straightforward,
and easily accessible navigation leads you step-by-step, as you record
audio to share the words at the same time as the pictures.
The Shadow Puppet iPhone app opens with a bright pop-up filled with
the three steps necessary to create one. The concise, clear
instructions are reinforced by a quick 18 second video that shows
gestures. The Shadow Puppet iPhone app has a broad audience and appeal,
so the careful attention to streamlining the interface and
demonstrating clear directions makes it accessible to those with little
tech finesse.
The home screen is bright and well-organized. The top menu bar has
two icons. The camera icon opens the in-app camera with one touch.
The wheel icon transforms the screen to a list of settings options. The
feed is a matrix of photos and title of stories. You tap the plus icon
on the matrix to add your shadow puppet story.
You move through the Shadow Puppet iPhone app methodically with
step-by-step written instructions and clear graphic icons to aid in
navigation. First, you add photos. The order of photos is determined
by the timing of your touches, but you can also tap reorder to drag and
drop them into your preferred order. Then, you tap the microphone icon
to record your thoughts. While you speak, you can use gestures like
double taps to zoom and pinches to emphasize different parts of the
photo. When complete, you add a title, note, and select sharing
features.
The sharing interface is lovely. You can select to share on
Facebook, Twitter, and Shadow Puppet social networks with a touch on the
corresponding icon. You also enter an email or phone number to send a
shadow puppet story as a video. It is not necessary to have the Shadow
Puppet iPhone app to view your story, so you don’t have to worry about
compatibility issues.
The choice by the developers to incorporate the account creation
phase after you create a shadow puppet story is unusual, yet sensible.
You may create an account with an email or Facebook authorization. To
sync with Facebook, you must authorize access to your basic profile and
friends, but the Shadow Puppet iPhone app promises to refrain from
posting without specific authorization.

Voice Texting Pro
It's simple: just speak into the microphone and convert your speech into text. Then directly send your message to e-mail, sms, Twitter or Facebook. You can also send it to your clipboard (copy) and paste the dictated text in any other application.
Voice Texting Pro uses superior speech recognition. There are no settings required, just say the words!
Voice Texting Pro doesn't need to learn your voice, no training is required. It works straight out of the box. By default, it uses the language appropriate to the settings of your device. So if you are in Spain, it recognizes Spanish, etc. You can change this language in the settings page.

Grid by Binary Thumb review
The Grid by Binary Thumb iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad app adds a
Pinterest finesse to iOS productivity tools and features. It
successfully blends pencil, paper, hand-written calendars, and scrapbook
activities like post-it notes, doodling, and taping a photograph into
an album. Then, it infuses whimsy, elegance, and excitement for a
creative, fresh approach to organizing. For those, like me, who
sometimes feel stifled by the structure of iOS productivity apps, you
literally can doodle on the edges as you explore, plan, and think about a
new idea or activity.
The interactive introduction is punctuated with the perfectly-timed sound of an orchestra tuning its instruments. The simple white grid screen invites you to touch a square and drag your finger to combine them in virtually any configuration. Then, you select from one of four icons. The pencil icon composes a note. The camera icon adds a photo from your iPhone library, or you can shoot one with the in-app camera. The friends icon allows you to connect your contact list. With the location icon, you add maps of places you may want to visit. You are asked to register or continue to use without registration.
After you are introduced to the features, you move back and forth between a home screen with all of your grids and a screen with a selected grid. You simply tap the new grid icon to craft a new one. I made grids for each of my sons to help me plan for their back to school needs. Inevitably, they drop ideas, hints, preferences, and dislikes at times where I have nothing to scribble down the details other than my iPhone. As a person who thrives on visual organization tools, this is a perfect choice for me to grab my iPhone right after they have shared they prefer blue binders, red folders, and a black belt. I highlight a square, select the compose icon, type in my note, and then adjust the color by using the paintbrush icon. My note is simply binders in a blue box. You can change between bold and italicized text, as well as adjust justification and font size. When you add a contact, any attached photo fills the square and you can call or email from within the Grid by Binary iPhone app. When you choose a location to add, you enter it in the search bar and a map of the location fills the grid.
The Grid by Binary Thumb iPhone app could be an interesting way to get your kids to study, as they could create visual flash cards. One of the suggested grids was a cool way to learn Japanese. There was a photograph and Japanese word with English translation. It would also be a great way to log the items you need from the grocery. Shoot a photo from the in-app camera, and you can use it as a reminder that you prefer the 2% plain greek yogurt–not the 0%.
The Grid by Binary Thumb iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad app fills this void for those of us who prefer a creative, visually stimulating, yet organized perspective in our daily life. It’s striking, intuitive, smart, and sophisticated.
